Global Recognition for Social Justice
The impact of our work has earned recognition on the world stage. Kailash Satyarthi Ji, former National General Secretary of Bandhua Mukti Morcha (Bonded Labour Liberation Front), was honoured with the Nobel Peace Prize, one of the world’s most prestigious awards. Similarly, Swami Agnivesh Ji, the organisation’s founder, received the Right Livelihood Award, widely regarded as the Alternative Nobel Prize.
The recognition of these two remarkable leaders reflects the profound social impact of Bandhua Mukti Morcha’s decades-long struggle for freedom, dignity, human rights and social justice. These honours stand as a testament to the organisation’s unwavering commitment to challenging exploitation and transforming the lives of those most vulnerable.
For the past 30+ years, under the visionary leadership of Rajesh Yagyik Ji, Mukti Morcha in Rajasthan have been actively working in eradication of various social evils, against communalism, for human rights and women’s rights, and against all forms of exploitation. The organisation also works to organise workers in the unorganised sector, fight for their rights, and raise vital issues such as the national minimum wage on various platforms.
